Insurance Principles & Practices
This book provides
that of other insurance texts. Its content and organization reflect the results of
a survey in which I asked several dozen insurance teachers what kind of
textbook they would like to use. Many teachers said they would prefer
book that is concise, stresses practical aspects of the subject from the
consumer's viewpoint, emphasizes personal lines, and provides more
coverage of insurance operations and vocations. T have tried to respond
those wishes.
Although the book is shorter than many insurance texts, it treats most of
the material that the longer
unnecessary detail. In addition, I have tried to make the book as readable as
its subject matter permits. Matters of practical interest and value have taken
precedence over theory, although the theoretical side is presented whenever
it is important to the reader's understanding of the subject
